Ar. Sreekanth Tatikonda
was never a run-of-the-mill architect. Born to an engineer in Mancherial, a Municipal town in Adilabad district in the south Indian state of Telangana, he completed his schooling from Karimnagar district and spent his undergraduate years in Hyderabad, while spending most of his free time exploring the possibility of creating new kinds of construction designs.
Ar. Sreekanth completed Bachelors in (B. Arch) from the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNAFAU), an active constituent of the varied SPA of Excellence envisaged by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad.
Early Career, India
In 1992, at the architecture college, Ar. Sreekanth met India’s best known ‘art-maestro’ M.F Husain. During his interaction with the artist, Ar. Sreekanth came to know that there was no Art gallery in Hyderabad for the city’s artists to display their works and showcase their talent. Prompted by M.F. Hussain, he decided to take-up ‘Art Gallery’ as architectural design topic for thesis.
Known as a meticulous student, he travelled to Ahmadabad where he visited ‘GUFA’, an art gallery designed MF Husain and also travelled to Mumbai and visited many galleries including Jehangir Art Gallery considered to be one of the premier art galleries in India. These trips played a pivotal role in Ar. Sreekanth’s education and helped him submit an exemplary thesis on Art Gallery design.
Not the one to look back, Sreekanth worked with his seniors to complete many Architecture projects on time and gradually began taking up his own projects at a very young age. He established his own firm Maanasara Arch&intrs before even completing his graduation.
Known for his positive outlook on life, Sreekanth brought added value to the business with his specialty in home & commercial space designs, interior designs and custom construction from small renovations to customized estate homes, thus becoming the youngest successful Architect in Hyderabad within a span of 5 years.
The Move to London
After a decade of in-depth experience in design and construction business in India, Ar. Sreekanth moved to London, United Kingdom in 2002. It was not a cake walk for him there. Undaunted by the challenges and vicissitudes, he pursued his passion and joined Royal Medical and Technical Consultants, a US-based company known for medical institutes’ designs, as a Resident Architect. Working there, he designed the St. Kitts and Nevis Campus including its residences, villas and dorms in West Indies, which with its exquisite open spaces, is the first example of Ar. Sreekanth’s revolutionary style in the international arena. For the next 10 years, Sreekanth travelled to many countries on official assignments and gained immense experience internationally. Thereafter, owing to the love for his motherland, he came back to India in 2012 to re-establish his own business in Hyderabad.
During his travel to many countries on various assignments, he met several NRIs (Non Residential Indians), especially the Telugu community, as an Indian Architect. It just blew his mind to know that every other NRI had one complaint in common – ‘unpleasant experiences in real-estate investments in India’. NRIs invested several millions of Dollars in India when there was a real-estate surge. But, to their dismay, most of them got resentful and lost their lifetime savings due to wrong guidance from brokers and agents
This formed the genesis for the establishment of Goodhomz, a Hyderabad-based one-stop realty company started for the NRIs (Non Residential Indians) who dream of buying their own property in India. Keeping in mind that most of the NRI face problems not just in buying the right property but also in constructing a house (usually owing to contractors, agents who maintain zero clarity), Goodhomz is an attempt to re-assure and re-build TRUST in the NRIs to come back and invest in their hometown.
With a value proposition of re-establishing “TRUST” amongst NRIs, Ar. Sreekanth worked with realty experts in India and gained in-depth knowledge on the procedures and legalities involved in realty business. Armed with a dynamic team of young visionaries, he is working on modalities to ensure that no NRI hesitates to invest in India.
“An Architect by profession, with two decades of national and international experience in the design and construction business and having thorough knowledge of the region, I bring added value in my ability to help advise NRIs with the best realty investment options in fair manner” says Sreekanth.
He further adds, “Unlike any other real-estate business who just act like an electronic classifieds, my company will focus only on NRIs to provide them with fair, one-stop, full-service real estate experience for property buyers.”
As a highly trained professional Architect and Realtor, Ar. Sreekanth will use his technology, communication & negotiation skills and marketing team to help NRIs find and sell their property with the least amount of inconvenience to them.
Under his astute leadership, Goodhomz adds tremendous value and vision to its founder’s unsurpassed knowledge of the Architectural and real estate industry, offering convenience by providing everything an NRI needs for a safe realty investment – all under one roof
